Origin Supply Chain Coordinator - Logistic/Documentation (Cote d'Ivoire)

The Role

We have an exciting new the role for an Origin Supply Chain Coordinator to work with the Cocoa Trading Team and will be based within a West Africa ECOM office ideally within Nigeria or Cote d'Ivoire and will involve travel to the East Africa region (Cameroon, Uganda, Sierra Leone & Liberia). This role will support the end-to-end supply chain operations; the role includes managing supplier relationships and collaboration with teams within origin.

Main Responsibilities

Help to improve local processes and procedures to maintain profitability, high quality standards and operational excellence
Help to develop a robust quality monitoring system from origin to factory above and beyond the standard quality parameters
Manage staff in various origins supervising quality and loading procedures
Establish and maintain local networks to gather information relevant to the cocoa business
Promote, monitor, and help establish strict implementation of EUDR requirements
Track customer commitments for origin programmes and coordinate execution in origin

Skills & Experience

We are looking for individuals that are educated to a degree level in business or any related field. Candidates must have a minimum of 5 years work experience within a similar role within commodities and within an origin country. They must have a strong understanding of supply chain management principles. The individual will have exceptional communication and negotiation skills and will be able to liaise with all clients and stakeholders. Additional French language skills would be a plus. Candidates must have a proven knowledge of commodities and be a self-starter.
